Financial Controller (Medior)
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will perform various financial analyses, supporting during the month-end closure of Saxo and additional control/financial accountancy duties.
Responsibilities
Financial:
- Financial control/accountant duties as part of a wider team
- Responsible for collaborating with our outsourced payroll processing service for the Netherlands, Belgium, and France payrolls, ensuring the operational aspects of payroll processing including post-payroll validation and associated activities; specifically performing control duties, process alignment and hands on detail checks to make sure all runs smoothly
- Refine payroll system set-up with our outsourced party, including ongoing data migration and transition (on-boarding)
- Quality assessment of the work carried out by the Shared Service Centre Accounting; Supervises outsourced service providers work by ensuring payroll operations are accurate and following legal compliance
- Assistance in ensuring the correct booking of the journals (by the Shared Service Centre) and ensuring the quality of the month-end reconciliations)
ICT:
- Speeding up various financial processes/more efficient processes through
- Optimizing efficiency and synergy between Finance, Business and outsources parties (avoiding duplication of work)
Other:
- Provide support and advice to People & Culture Advisors
- Able to demonstrate trustworthiness and confidentiality since this is a high-level position, and need to handle sensitive information
- Participating in (organization-wide) projects
Your profile:
- HBO plus level with 3 to 5 years'+ experience in a dynamic organization
- Knowledge of ERP systems AFAS and Navision is an advantage but not essential
- Ability to support month-end
- Attention to detail; motivation to ensure accuracy
- Good understanding in local legislations, tax, and social security
